I am glad that congress passed the health care bill last night. It's not a good bill. But its better than no bill at all...
The Obama administration is not looking at all the tasks they have as a system. But are attacking each one as an individual problem. This is especially problematic in that Obama is leading like the community organizer he is, by focusing attention, but depending on the community to develop solutions. When your community is the congress; it's a problem.
How can we fund health care without a complete look at the tax system? In fact I would go out on a limb and state.... that today the tax system lies at the heart of the structures needed to rebuild our economy, solve health care issues as well as education, immigration, and the environment.
Obama needs to bring together leading design thinkers to bring together a proposal for a systemic approach to these issues. The danger is that with each issue alone, Republican opposition can focus on the minutia.
If he gives me a call I will give him some names.
