The American public is getting all bent out of shape about the bankers who received bailout money getting bonuses. The story line goes that these banks received help from the American taxpayer, and now they are getting the benefits of the bailout when Americans in general are not.
I think the problem is bigger than that. The American economy was bailed out, not just the banks. The way to pay that forward is to allow all business and individuals to make as much money as they possibly can. Then tax the hell out of it.
Wait.... why dont we ask all those that benefited from the bailout; that would be everyone; to support the regulatory changes congress is proposing instead of fighting them.
