Its cold and rainy.... so i have time for bull shit.

The latest news is that God is not dead. He is changing. Or rather, we are changing. God is a reflection of society. A society matures; and then auto magically, the perception of God matures. God changes.

Now; it doesn’t take a perceptive genius to realize that the God of cavemen is different than the God of Abraham. The time spans, the culture spans, the ….. spans are just too different. But the God of Abraham has changed as well.

My thesis on Islam is that its age is the same, roughly 1500 years, as Christianity was when they were burning witches. It’s a thesis, I have discussed several times in these pages. It’s a thesis that gets blown apart when considering the effects of fundamentalism in all religions, as it appears that fundamentalists are by and large all in the infancy of their growth.

So…. The thesis… is to wait and let Islam grow up. But as long as Christians and Jews keep birthing newborns (fundamentalists) it wont work.

God does not change…. People change….

I know some people that need to change. Addicts that need to quit their addiction. Egocentric people need to see that they are not the center of the universe. Greedy people who need to be less so. Lazy people. The Mullahs need to change. Rush needs a heart transplant, and then he needs to change too!

The weather here in Northern Michigan needs to change or else the Duchess is going to want to go somewhere else.

I guess we can pray for that. There are those that believe those kind of prayers will be answered by God, if they are good. Not if God is good, but if the prayerful person is good.

We could pray for change.

Or…. We could pray for a God. Or that there not be one.

I think we would be better served to pray for change.
