A beautiful hotel in Dubai.
Dubai is a beautiful city… totally built from scratch in 20 years.
They are building a metro here… why I am not sure because it is so hot no one wants to walk to the metro station and there are not enough stations. But the point is it looks like its years away from completion and if it was in the United States you would shake your head and wonder how many years it would be… but here they expect it to open next year…. On time….

If the people who were building our house could do that it sure would be nice…

We have been listening to international TV…. CNN… BBC… Al Jazeera…. And others….. Why is it that the world wants Obama to win???? Do they think Obama will be easy on terrorists? Do they think that the United States is somehow going to let the rest of the world walk all over us unless so they want a weak cookie? No…. I think…. And I get this from talking to people here….. that the rest of the world sees the US as the leader of the free world and is looking for leadership to help the world solve some of the grave issues of our time… In one word… The rest of the world is pulling for Obama for the same reason we are… HOPE….

Of course Bush has helped....

The world does not need more fancy hotels, we need to feed the hungry, stop blood shed, and develop alternative fuels so that the rest of the world can develop and grow without polluting their air and rivers. We need the end of me first and the beginning of us.
