The Winter X Games in Aspen brings out a bunch of strange people. The bulk of them are 15 years old, have long hair, more piercings than skin, baggy pants that ride blow their crotch, and a language that is barely discernable as English. “ Wad up Dude”… Alcohol was the drug of choice and since it was not allowed in the venue; lots of pre security chugging was going on. How is this generation ever going to get and hold jobs?
The X Games also involves snowmobiles. The snowmobile crowd is more similar to the Nascar crowd so the juxtaposition of these two sets of humans was interesting. Throw in a few of your typical Aspenites and all the children gawking at the athletes and you have quite a mix. A freak event!
The guy in the white robe proudly represented my generation.
